About the event

This class is intended for any practicing Witch or doer of Magick who is ready to take the next step in their magickal journey and start an in-person coven or Witch group. Solitaire Witches and practitioners are welcome!

Your coven or Witch group should reflect your beliefs, values and practices, whatever those are. This class is designed to help you make it fully your own! Create your own group based on the kinds of things you want to do, learn or teach.

>>>This class is especially intended for those who do not follow an established, formal, initiation tradition (if you are in a formal initation-based tradition such as Alexandrian Wicca, for example, you will learn how to start your own coven from the coven you are initated into). <<<

This is the place to ask all the questions you've been wondering about and get real answers from a Witch who's been there and done that! Whether or not you've ever been in a coven, you may have your own reasons for wanting to start your own. Covens and groups can offer friendships, convenience, family, support, learning, safety, and more. When done well, they are positive, challenging, growth-centered experiences. When not done well, they can be breeding grounds for toxicity, abuse, ineffectice or harmful magickal and Spiritual habits, egos and power trips.

In this series, we'll explore the many facets of running a coven or group- many you may not have ever even considered! We'll cover the structure of everything from forming your group to your coven meetings, rituals and spellcraft, how to financially support and sustain your group, inner workings and functions of a coven or Witch group, where to begin, how to grow your group, and how to run your group successfully. We'll address conflict within groups and covens and how to effectively manage different personality types, how to establish best practices, healthy communication, group guidelines, principles, or bylaws, organization, leadership, group benchmarks and learning, new member processes including screening, and much more.

This is a three-part series happening Tuesday, Thursday and Friday night from 6:30pm-8pm. Class dates are September 13, 15 and 16.
