Join me in my workshop & apothecary downtown (inside my store, The Kindred Cauldron) where you'll take home one jar of herbal infused oil and one completed salve made in class, as well as various recipes for salves and lip balms to make at home. Kits will be available to purchase with ingredients to make more salves and herbal infusions at home.

In this class you'll learn how to make an herbal infused oil and salve. Herbal infused oils and salves are healing and nourishing topical applications. They can be used in a myriad of ways—luxurious massage oils, first aid balms, pain relieving ointments and more!  

Class participants will learn how to extract the therapeutic properties of herbs by infusing them into oil. We will then cover how to make a salve, which is a combination of oils and beeswax in specific proportions. In addition to making an infused oil and salve, I'll guide you through the therapeutic properties of the ingredients that make up the herbs we use as well as the general benefits and uses of oils and salves. 

Plant infused oils are the bases for making salves, balms, lotions, creams and butters. Some herbal infused oils can be used for culinary purposes like Oregano, Garlic, Cilantro.  Step-up your self-care with beautiful oils that others will love as gifts.
